Welcome to Best Western Princess on Portland!
The Princess on Portland Hotel is a grade II listed building that lies on the corner of Portland Street and Princess Street in the Heart of Manchester City Centre. The building was constructed in 1870 and the grand façade of this former textile warehouse has remained largely unchanged although the building was converted into a hotel in 1982. Due to the nature of the warehouse design the rooms created are spacious and filled with light from the large windows that surround each floor level. Contemporary British Cuisine is prepared in our theatre kitchen and presented for your enjoyment in the vibrant and informal Brasserie, Bar and Lounge, or if you prefer relax in your room and enjoy room service. Free Wireless Internet is available throughout the hotel. Discounted Car Parking rates are available at Q-Park Piazza, St James Street which is just five minutes walk from the hotel.
From Daniel Libeskind's Imperial War Museum North, Manchester Art Gallery and China Town to The Lowry Gallery, displaying the works of LS Lowry, Manchester offers an eclectic mix of entertainment covering the arts and cultural scene.
Taking centre stage are Manchester's many theatrical and concert venues giving visitors a melting pot of opportunites to enhance their visit.
Shopping in Manchester City offers an indulgent experience like no other........Harvey Nichols and Selfridges allow shoppers to splash out on the latest designer must have and the individual stores in bohemian Manchester give the chance to create that one off outfit to enhance your individual style or find a truly unique gift.
